Smells like seven layers....THAT BEAVER EATS TACO BELL!But really, 5 layers? Way over the code restriction to 2 layers. At that point you aren't nailing shingles into the roof, you are nailing shingles into other shingles and overloading the roof. The top layers tore off very easy by hand. A strong wind could of done the same. What a waste of material...that roof couldn't of been more then ten years old.
